Hyundai has launched its mini car in indian car market to directly compete with most popular mini car till the date, Maruti Suzuki Alto. Maruti Suzuki has already sold 3.3 lakh alto in current fiscal.
Hyundai EON spots 814cc, 3-cylinder engine which produces 56 hp of power at 5500 rpm and 75 Nm of maximum torque at 4000 rpm.
According to ARAI, Hyundai EON gives more than 21 kmpl of mileage which is more than Maruti Suzuki Alto's mileage. Hyundai EON has the most aggressive look and interiors in its segment.
Price of Hyundai EON starts with 2.69 lakh in India. Maruti Suzuki Alto's price start at 2.4 lakh, ex-showroom, ahmedabad.
This might cause more problem for Maruti Suzuki as they are already facing strike at their manesar production plant, delaying devilries of their cars to customers. Maruti Suzuki Swift has waiting period of almost 300 days!
